Iranian minister: US undermines security in Persian Gulf

On April 17, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Khatami stated that the illegal and aggressive U.S. presence did not ensure the security of the Persian Gulf, but instead created problems for the population of the region through threats and sanctions. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. The Minister made such a comment on the margins of the parade on the occasion of the Day of the National Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI). Speaking to journalists about the Americans 'claim of their clash with Iranian armed forces in the Persian Gulf, he noted that Americans themselves posed a security threat along Iranian borders and made such unfounded statements. Khatami stressed: The Iranian people are thoughtful and see who is right; We are at home, and they have come from the other end of the world to create problems for the countries of the region by threatening and imposing sanctions. At the parade called the Guardians of the Motherland, health assistants took part in various army units demonstrating a wide range of medical equipment, including disinfectants, mobile hospitals, special vehicles for disinfecting public places, as well as humanitarian assistance provided by military personnel.
