Australia continues to support Indonesia in combating COVID-19

Australia is supporting the Indonesian Red Cross in efforts to combat COVID-19, Antara reports. The humanitarian task of the Indonesian red cross cannot be achieved alone, but cooperation with many parties is needed to simplify and accelerate the provision of assistance to those people who need it most during the difficult times caused by the pandemic, said Sudirman Said, Secretary-General of the Indonesian red cross. Earlier, Australia allocated 61 billion rupees ($4.3 million) to combat the epidemic in Indonesia. According to the news agency, from January 1 to June 30, 2020, 2,751 people returned from Hong Kong and Macau to Indonesia.
