Mayors of cities in Galicia are confident that they will win the court against the government of Ukraine

A lawsuit against the government of Ukraine in order to cancel the decision on quarantine zoning of the regions was filed by the mayors of four cities of the country. The corresponding information was confirmed today, September 5, by the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Marcinkiv. A joint lawsuit was filed by the city heads of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopol, Kalush and Kolomya (both cities are located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region). All these cities, according to the decision of Kiev, are in the red coronavirus zone, which means the need to introduce the most stringent restrictive measures, up to stopping the whole business. Marcinkiv is confident that the mayors will win this case, since there is a certain decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which showed that the closure of small and medium-sized businesses is unconstitutional and illegal, and the strengthening of quarantine leads to this. The mayor promised another lawsuit in which local authorities will challenge the introduction of national quarantine in principle. the news agency recalls that the lawsuit was filed in the District Administrative Court of Kiev. Some participants in this process, in particular, the mayor of Ternopol, Sergey Nadal, are shy in terms. commenting on the reasons for the lawsuit. They want to bring western Ukraine into the blockade, because it defends the Ukrainian language, protests against the criminal rise in price of gas and electricity. They act in the same ways as food detachments during the famine, Nadal said, warning Kiev that Ukrainians will defend themselves.
