Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation: The United States is SNV-3 to determine its position on the extension of sanctions

The US authorities are deliberately slow to determine their position on the extension of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (PRSP), known as the SNV-3. This was announced on May 22 by Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov during an online discussion about relations between the Russian Federation and the United States, organized by the Foundation for Support of Public Diplomacy named after A. M. Gorchakov. He recalled that the Russian side was in favour of extending the treaty for five years without preconditions. The US authorities have been asked to do so as soon as possible. However, Washington has not yet been able to determine its position. The US continues to deliberately maintain the uncertainty of this issue, although the time before the end of the treaty expires, Ryabkov said. According to the news agency, earlier military expert Ivan Konovalov said that the USA is preparing the ground for the refusal to extend the PRNV.
