More than 16,000 cases of coronavirus infection identified in Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, 375 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed 12 Ukraine, the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported on May 1. According to the latest data, a total of 5,010 people were hospitalized, including 197 children and 554 medical workers. The artificial lung ventilation apparatus needed 211 people. As a result of complications caused by the disease, 425 people died, 23 of them medical workers, the message reads. 3,373 patients recovered, including 858 medical workers. The maximum number of cases of infection was recorded in Chernivtsi region and Kiev 2396 and 1930 respectively. According to the news agency, earlier the head of the government of Ukraine said that the country is experiencing a peak pandemic, and that quarantine restrictions will continue after May 22.
