Ukraine is ready for integration into NATO - former Foreign Minister Prizayko

Ukraine has fulfilled all conditions to join the NATO Expanded Capabilities Partnership, former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vladimir Prizayko said on May 6 following a videoconference with NATO ambassadors and NATO representation in Ukraine. From a military point of view, Ukraine is ready to join the Expanded Capabilities Program, which will increase the compatibility of Ukrainian military with units of NATO member states, he said. Prizayko noted that Ukraine still has a certain homework, but the work on it is very well planned and this is understood by both Ukrainian military officials and NATO representatives. From a political point of view, we also see the formation of consensus on the invitation of Ukraine to this format of the closest partners of the Alliance, the former Minister added. He noted that Ukraine was waiting for an invitation to join the programme during the next meeting of the North Atlantic Council. According to the news agency, earlier NATO foreign ministers decided to strengthen support for the security of Ukraine and Georgia on the Black Sea.
