Zelensky updated the delegation to the Donbass negotiations
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky approved the new composition of the delegation representing Kiev at the talks of the Three-Party Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk. The relevant decree was published on May 5 on the website of the President of Ukraine. The head of the delegation remained the ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma. Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Alexey Resnikov and Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Alexander Mezhko have been appointed as his deputies. The Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Julia Sviridenko became the representative of Ukraine in the sub-working group on social and economic issues. The representative of Ukraine on political issues became the Chairman of the Committee of the Rada on Legal Policy Andrei Kostin. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexander Polishchuk has been appointed Representative of Ukraine for Security Issues, and Chairman of the Committee of the Rada on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans "Rights Galina Tretiakov will represent Ukraine in the working group on humanitarian issues. According to the news agency, earlier the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andrei Yermak said that Ukraine wants to raise the level of representatives in the TCG in order to involve more senior representatives of Russia in negotiations.
