Somalia received $25 million to fight coronavirus
The African Development Bank has approved a grant of $25.1 million to Somalia to combat coronavirus infection, reports Xinhua. It is reported that the Somali Government intends to devote these funds to improving the health system, protecting the inhabitants of the country from the spread of a new type of coronavirus, as well as to stimulating the economy. By July 28, 3,178 cases of infection with a new coronavirus were confirmed in the country. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Somalia, 1,521 patients have recovered, another 93 have lost their lives and died. According to the news agency, by July 27, a total of 844,542 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Africa. From diseases caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, 17,682 people died.
