The expert said when Huawei will run out of Kirin chips

The stock of Kirin 9000 chips available from the Chinese company Huawei will be enough to produce 10 million smartphones, said industry expert Huang Haifeng. This was reported by the portal cnTechPost. Kirin 9000 is the most advanced smartphone chip developed by a subsidiary of Huawei HiSilicon. It will be used in the new model of the Mate 40 smartphone, which will be presented in the fall. Kirin chips are manufactured at the facilities of the Taiwanese company TSMC. In May, the Taiwanese manufacturer stopped accepting orders from Huawei due to new sanctions imposed by the US government on the Chinese company. Orders for Kirin 9000 chips were placed before the May toughening of sanctions, so their production will continue until September 15. Analyst Huang Haifeng said that by this time about 10 million Kirin 9000 chips will be produced. Accordingly, Huawei will be able to release the same number of smartphones based on this chip. Haifeng added that thanks to the formed stocks of chips, Huawei will be able to produce new smartphones within six months. However, after this period, the Chinese manufacturer will have to face serious problems, especially in the manufacture of premium smartphones. As the news agency previously reported, in July experts suggested that Huawei could release Mate 40 smartphones in two versions: with TSMC chips and MediaTek chips.
